Documomentary is a documentary approach to photographing real life as it unfolds. Rather than directing every interaction or creating artificial moments, the focus is on presence, connection, personality, and the details that become meaningful with time. Sessions are built around witnessing what is already there and preserving it honestly.

The most meaningful moments are often the ones no one plans. A glance across the room, a hand reaching instinctively for another, the way someone settles into a familiar space. Documomentary photography begins with paying attention to what is already happening. Rather than directing the moment, I stay present with it, allowing real expressions, gestures, and interactions to unfold naturally and be preserved as they were.

Connection is rarely found in a perfect pose. It lives in conversation, movement, touch, humor, quietness, and the small ways people respond to one another. These sessions are designed to make room for that connection instead of interrupting it. The photographs become a record of relationships as they actually feel, capturing the personality, energy, and closeness that make each family, couple, friendship, or gathering distinctly their own.

Over time, ordinary moments become extraordinary records of a life. The rooms change, children grow, people age, routines disappear, and details once taken for granted become deeply meaningful. Documomentary photography creates a visual record of this season as it exists now. The goal is to preserve more than how people looked. It is to preserve how life felt, creating photographs that can carry memory, story, and connection forward for years to come.
